We are aware of reports from outside the UK of deaths of people living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) who were receiving givinostat (Duvyzat). Our thoughts are with the families affected and the wider Duchenne community.
A Statement from NorthStar on Givinostat

We understand this news may be deeply upsetting and cause concern for families in the UK whose children are currently receiving givinostat.
The NorthStar Network has convened urgent meetings to discuss the situation and has now issued a formal statement. We are sharing this with our community. In addition, we are working closely with Duchenne UK and Action Duchenne to ensure families have access to clear, timely information.
Families are encouraged to speak with their clinical teams, who are best placed to advise on individual circumstances. We will continue to monitor the situation and share updates to our community as more information becomes available.
