Volunteers’ Week – celebrating our volunteers

3 June 2024

This Volunteers’ Week (3 – 9 June 2024) we want to thank our amazing 365 volunteers and celebrate the fantastic contribution they’re make to changing the future of muscle wasting and weakening conditions.

Our inspirational volunteers

From our Peer Support Volunteers who provide vital support for people in our community by talking, listening, and sharing their experiences. Our community volunteers who raise funds in their local community, taking part in fun and rewarding activities. And our Lay Research Panel, made up entirely of people affected by muscle wasting or weakening conditions, who work closely with our research team to evaluate our grant applications.

We believe in the power of our community and have volunteers from across the UK helping us to make a difference.

A big thank you

Our Volunteer Engagement Manager Calley Clay said: “Volunteers’ Week is a great chance to celebrate all our incredible volunteers within the muscle wasting and weakening community who dedicate their time to help make a difference.

“We wouldn’t be able to do the work we do to fund groundbreaking research and life-changing support without their valuable and generous time. So, thank you to every single one of them.”
