MDUK Muscles Matter 2022 - Friday 15 July round-up

Our MDUK Muscles Matter 2022 continued on Friday 15 July, virtually bringing together people living with muscle-wasting conditions from across the UK with a seminar on fatigue.

We were joined by Neuromuscular Care Advisors Pam Appleton, from St Georges University Hospital, London and Andy Rose, from Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, as well as expert patient, Munira Pirmohamed.

The panellists spoke about the causes of fatigue, provided tips and ideas for managing fatigue at home and work and launched the ‘Fatigue management for people with neuromuscular condition’ resource. Munira shared her personal experience of fatigue and how she has learnt to adapt to living with fatigue using the energy conservation toolkit. Following the presentation from the panellists, attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions and all the panellists provided useful insights.

You can watch the full recording of the fatigue seminar above or on our YouTube channel.

There will be seminars throughout the year in our MDUK Muscles Matter 2022 online seminar series, including condition-specific sessions, practical sessions such as financial support and psychological care to help you live well, and seminars looking into ways you can manage your condition.
