We’re delighted to announce that we are co-hosting a focus group discussion on the importance of bone health and osteoporosis in adults with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This is alongside Dr Jarod Wong, Senior clinical lecturer and consultant paediatric endocrinologist; Dr Shima Abdelrahman, Post-Doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Glasgow and Action Duchenne.
We’re looking for parents of adults with Duchenne to be part of the focus group, which will explore the monitoring and treatment of osteoporosis in adults with DMD to guide the development of national guidance. Dr Wong and Dr Abdelrahman have separately heard directly from adults with Duchenne in other focus groups.
The focus group is taking place on Monday 21 August 7pm-8:30pm on Zoom.
